With the Alameda Museum, including the gift shop and the Meyers House, closed for visitors, the Board has been trying to find a way to make it possible for our community to visit, in a way that's safe for both our visitors and our volunteers. And the result is a pop-up window exhibition, running from today to August 23, at the Alameda Museum, at 2324 Alameda Ave: An Assemblage of Hats; an annotated selection of the Museum's Hat collection. Normally, these items, although not particularly valuable by themselves, are too susceptible to accidental damage (as well as to unexplained disappearances) to display in the museum, but with no one being able to touch, this is now not an issue.
